A warm welcome to VO.

Here, fashion isn't just about what you wear, it's about who you are. Come with us as we ditch the mainstream and embrace a wild mashup of nature, beauty, darkness and the peculiar.

SLOW AND SOULFUL

Fast fashion is not it. We've worked hard to develop our zero waste policy, which promises that wherever possible we make your garments to order, or we make them in small batches that we know will sell out.

This means that together, we won't be contributing to overconsumption or sending 'surplus' clothing to landfill. When our warehouse needs a rare spring clean, rather than destroy garments, we are proud to donate them to the inspiring charity Thread Ahead, who provide clothing to displaced refugees in need.

EACH GARMENT IS A CANVAS FOR OUR ARTISTS' UNIQUE, HAND-DRAWN ARTWORK, MAKING EVERY PIECE TRULY MEANINGFUL

BEYOND THE AESTHETICS

At our core we believe in doing right by the planet and all its creatures, and this purpose is woven into every stitch. As a brand we are PETA Approved Vegan, and as a team we are just as committed to living plant-based lifestyles too.

Giving back is incredibly important to us, and for every order you place, part of the profits go towards doing some good in the world. This year we will be giving back to animal rescue sanctuaries, along with the following wildlife projects, all made possible by your support.

FEEDING RESCUED FARM ANIMALS

We're going to assume you love animals as much as we do, so that's why part of our profits will always go towards helping a creature in need. There are inspiring sanctuaries across the UK working hard to rescue farm animals from abuse and slaughter. Ideally, we'd live in a world where they didn't need to be rescued, but until then, it's a cause our team will continue to support and care deeply about.

CREATING WILDFLOWER INSECT PATHWAYS

Wildflowers are almost twice as effective as forestry at sequestering carbon, yet over 97% of our meadows have disappeared in the last century. Wildflowers are also essential for our bees. But due to dramatic changes in our landscape, bees' habitats are dwindling at a scary rate. Urgent action is needed to provide habitation and to protect their populations, so this year part of our donations will go towards planting wildflowers and re-opening insect pathways.

RESTORING MARINE BIODIVERSITY

Leaving land and turning to water, we'll also be donating part of our profits this year towards some vital marine biodiversity work. This means creating reefs for native oysters, restoring kelp forests, and providing habitats for hundreds of species, from seahorses to spider crabs, and even critically endangered European eels. The reefs will also work to filter water, removing pollutants and sequestering carbon.
